Anushka Shetty is an Indian film actress who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil films. She was introduced by Puri Jagannath in the movie Super. She was mainly known for choosing female centric movies like Arundathi, Rudharamadevi, Size Zero and many others.

Anushka hails from the Bellipady Uramalu Guthu family and is an ethnic Tuluva born in Mangalore, to A.N. Vittal Shetty and Prafulla on 7th November 1981. She has two brothers Sai Ramesh Shetty, and Gunaranjan Shetty. After completing her schooling in Bangalore, Anushka pursued Bachelor of Computer Application from Mount Carmel College. Later, she also trained as a yoga instructor under Bharat Thakur, the husband of actress Bhoomika Chawla.
