Aishwarya Rai was born on 01-11-1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka state, India.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the erstwhile Aishwarya Rai, is winner of Miss World 1994 title and is renowned for her beauty worldwide.

She made her film debut with the tamil cinema Iruvar and made her bollywood debut with Aur-pyaar ho gaya opposite B. Deol. Her film career took a slow start initially and she tasted commercial success after the super hit film Hum dilde chuke-sanam.

This was followed by notable movies like Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom, Guzaarish.
Her international projects include Provoked, Pink Panther.
She endorses a number of brands like L’Oreal, Longines, Kalyan.

She represents a number of social causes as she supports PETA, is a UN microcredit spokesperson, and has created the Aishwarya Rai Foundation.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tied knots with Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. The couple is blessed with a daughter Aradhya.
